Tools for Pain Relief

Supporting Our Physical Bodies

Magnesium Supplements for Muscle Relaxation
I must have recommended hundreds of people to try a magnesium supplement and notice the relaxation effects on the muscles. Sometimes it's talked about as there's a product called Calm. While I'm not a big fan of mixing powders and water, you can mix Calm. Taking magnesium at bedtime can aid muscle relaxation and sleep. There are 7 types of magnesium. Magnesium citrate can cause diarrhea if taken in excess. However, it's essential to consume enough magnesium for it to be effective.

Valerian Root for Natural Relaxation and Pain Relief
Another natural favorite of mine is valerian root. Unlike valium, it's not addicting. In college, a friend used valerian root post-surgery for muscle relaxation and pain management. It's a bedtime favorite, I discovered its benefits as a sleep and relaxation aid.

Homeopathy: A Personal Journey
Homeopathy has significantly influenced my health. It focuses on holistic symptom assessment, like determining if pain intensifies during the day or night. I have a personal success story: In my 30s, I had frequency and urgency urination issues. After conventional treatments failed, a homeopath provided a remedy that resolved the issue in one dose.

Arnica for Bruising and Swelling
Arnica is excellent for managing bruising and swelling. While I'm not a fan of ointment due to their sticky nature, I prefer gel or spray they are user-friendly.

Tools for Muscle Relaxation
Using tools like rollers or special balls can help relax muscles. I've found products from a company called Rad beneficial. They offer various massage balls that can provide muscle relief. There's also the Rapid Release Medical Device, an expensive but effective tool for muscle relaxation.

Cupping for Blood Flow
Cupping can increase blood flow to muscles. Smaller cups, like the one I have, can be used without lotions or oils, but larger ones require some expertise and preparation.

Different Kinds of Bodywork
There's a plethora of bodywork styles available. From relaxing massages to deep tissue, structural alignment, and craniocacral therapy, which I studied for ten years. This therapy helps restore energy flow in the body.

Chiropractic and Other Treatments
There are several chiropractic methods, including applied kinesiology and upper cervical adjustments. One of my favorites is Jin-shin-Jytsu, an acupressure style. It focuses on restoring energy flow through meridians.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Pain
PRP involves drawing a patient's blood, processing it, and then injecting it into a problematic joint. It can be effective unless emotional, mental, or energetic blocks impede the treatment.

Active Scalar Waves and Future Classes
Active scalar waves are another promising treatment. I mention these treatments briefly, hoping you'll explore them further. In the future, I may offer more detailed classes or sessions on these topics.
