Are you mad at your body for being in pain?

Understanding Body Relationship in Chronic Pain

Assessing Body Relationship

Hi, I'm Elynn Light, Integrative Healer. Today, I'd like you to tune into the kind of relationship you maintain with your body, especially concerning chronic pain. It's not uncommon for many of us to view our bodies as the problem, directing feelings of anger, criticism, and frustration towards it. While such an approach might offer temporary satisfaction, it doesn't foster a cooperative relationship with the body, a bond essential for healing. Ultimately, our goal is to achieve balance and healing.

Shifting Dynamics

To truly harmonize with our bodies, we must alter our perception. It's essential to transition from believing the body is acting against us to recognizing that it's trying to convey something. If we genuinely listen and try to understand, we can decipher what the body is attempting to communicate.

Engaging in this introspection can be a fruitful exercise in honing your intuition and listening skills. Ask yourself, what is my body trying to tell me?

At times, we might find ourselves detached from our bodies, feeling numb or disconnected. This too is an indication worth noting. It beckons questions like, when did I disconnect? Was there an event that overwhelmed me, causing me to feel out of control?

The Path to Healing

By actively listening to our bodies and fostering a nurturing relationship with the body, we pave the way for lasting healing.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
