Overview of Energy Medicine
A Dive into Energy Medicine
Excited to be here with you today to talk about energy medicine. Most of us, including myself, were raised in a culture of Western medicine. When we experience a physical issue, our instinct is to seek a physical solution—be it doctor, medication, chiropractic adjustment, or massage therapy. My background in nursing gave me a comprehensive understanding of this approach.
My Personal Quest for Answers
However, facing my own health challenges, such as chronic pain and chronic fatigue, forced me to explore alternatives. After enduring years of pain and fatigue, I was motivated to seek different answers. My journey often led me to the realm of the energy body. While our culture is fixated on tangible and measurable outcomes, the energy body operates in the unseen, intangible realm.
I recall visiting a specialist MD about 20 years ago. After reviewing my bloodwork, he employed muscle testing and made an unexpected diagnosis: my aura was riddled with holes, causing my energy to leak out. His solution? A physical object he referred to as a "puck" that could repair my aura.
Seeking the Intangible
Searching for non-conventional answers also took me to a healer in Colorado Springs. There, I met a renowned nurse healer who introduced me to the psychic in her office. The psychic reading revealed that my meridians were running backward, a condition they didn't know how to treat. This quest eventually led me to Donna Eden's energy medicine, a practice that acknowledges the energy circuits in our bodies. These circuits, or meridians, are akin to the body's electrical system. Points on these meridians can be accessed for healing. Here's a 5 minute daily routine that I've found to be very helpful: Donna Eden's Daily Energy Routine [OFFICIAL VERSION]
Understanding the Energy System
Treatments such as EFT tapping, acupuncture, acupressure, and Jin Shin Jyutsu utilize these meridians. My continued exploration led me to Cindy Dale, who teaches about the aura and its various rings. She provides insight into how energy may leak, or how we might carry or be burdened by others' energies. One can even determine if the energy they feel is their own or someone else's.
Taking Charge with Energy Practices
One effective tool I'd recommend is Donna Eden's five-minute daily energy routine. This routine, starting with the thymus thump, is excellent for boosting the immune system. There are specific points, like K27, that are crucial for discharging strong emotions and stuck energies. Understanding your energy field, its significance, and methods to optimize it is empowering. Cyndi Dale, author, teacher and healer has made a large contribution to learning about our energy body, how to direct and detect energy in the body. Her book Energetic Boundaries is interesting and informative about this unseen part of our body.
While I didn't set out to delve into the vast realm of energy, I'm grateful for the journey. Gaining this knowledge meant I no longer had to endure constant pain and fatigue. Recognizing and addressing energy influences can help regain control over one's well-being. We exist in multiple realms - physical, mental, emotional, and energetic. While our culture may prioritize the tangible, it's essential not to neglect the energy realm until desperation strikes. Looking forward to sharing more. Thanks for joining me today.
