Elynn Light
Hi, I'm Elynn Light, and if you're watching this video, you're likely considering working with me or taking one of my programs. Thank you so much for your interest, and why should you listen to me or allow me to be your guide?
Well, let's give you some history here. I am a certified MAP (Make Anything Possible) practitioner. I have many certifications in EFT, RTT hypnotherapy. I started off in nursing, and then I went more into alternative ways of healing, and I have enough certifications to wallpaper my living room, even though I haven't done that.
At age 19, I lived in Pittsburgh and was in college. I had a boyfriend that raced his red Fiat sports car in these pylon races. We were coming home from one of those races, going across the bridge, when our tire sheared off the car and threw us head on into the oncoming traffic in Pittsburgh.
Now these were in the days when a Fiat was a small little red sports car, and we were head on into a very large Cadillac. I was sitting with my knee up, this was before seat belts and I hit the dashboard.
So this was definitely a pivotal point in my life and probably the best thing that ever happened to me, along with the worst thing that ever happened to me. I was thinking about pursuing a career in modeling.
I was very identified with the value of my appearance. right after that car accident, where I had two hours of stitching to stitch up my chin, and seven years of scar revision after that. So initially after this head -on collision where my knees were up, I hit the dash, messed up my face, twisted the hip. It put me on a journey of healing which was better aligned with my soul mission anyway, but you know a rough way to get the knock over the head.
So the first pain coming out of that was definitely more emotional and around my value, and who am I if I'm not a beautiful woman, and what is my value. I had seven years of recutting and having scars on my chin to get the keloid to get nice, flat skin. So to try to heal my face. And you know, those are many years when your whole identity in late teens, early 20s are wrapped up in, you know, am I attractive and what is available to me in life and what isn't.
So of course there's that emotional process. But then the physical kicked in. I had a lot of hip pain and these were the days where there were not chiropractors and masseuses on every corner, and there was no internet to look up "how do I get help"?
So I did try, I did find a chiropractor. I was very fortunate to have excellent chiropractors early on in my healing. But looking back, like that's all I did for 12 years was keep getting my bones, you know, adjusted, adjusted, adjusted and having massage.
And that was just enough to, you know, barely get through my week and sometimes getting adjusted twice a week and, you know, being in a lot of pain in between. So because I've had this healing journey over the last four decades, I would love to save you time and money and introduce you to some of the things that I had to do while on this journey.
Waking up in pain, if you've been waking up in pain, I want you to know, I know what it's like to wake up in pain going, I don't know if it's worth living to feel this way all the time. Because pain, as we know, is really drains our energy and depletes our happy outlook and creativity.
It's exhausting. And not to mention that that's then we don't get to go do the activities that we might want to be engaging in. It's more like, how do I get through the day? How do I suffer through enough to go to my job and crawl back home?
And that’s really no life. It's not a way to live. I'm thrilled that I found my way out of that, and it has become my passion to support others in doing the same. Over four decades of exploring various solutions, I've experienced periods both free from pain, during which I could dance, work out, and lead a busy, normal, healthy life, and periods where pain incapacitated me, leaving me bedridden and reliant on ice, unable to walk even for 10 minutes. Life does continue. There’s always something - accidents, pain, breakups, cross-country moves, and diverse life circumstances that bring about new challenges and new types of pain.
Even though my pain has primarily been localized in my hip and low back (though in the early years there was significant neck pain too), hip and low back pain were particularly debilitating. I have devoured what feels like a million books (a mild exaggeration, perhaps!) and attended countless seminars. I left nursing and became certified—and subsequently licensed—as a massage therapist, maintaining this license through continuing education for 40 years. It's fascinating to perpetually learn new ways to care for our bodies, both for our own sake and to assist the occasional client with hands-on treatment.
In the past year, I studied cupping and found it to be fantastic. Although I didn’t explore dry needling because it wasn’t legal in California when I was considering it, I have specialized in helping my clients identify and release the causes of their pain, which quite often are emotional or related to past traumas. However, it's crucial to note that it's not always emotional or trauma-related, but when it is, it’s profoundly beautiful to experience the release and rapid alleviation of pain from the healing or receiving side.
During my five years living in Colorado Springs, Colorado, I worked with a female osteopath who would refer clients to me if she suspected that the causes of their health issues or pain were emotional. She specialized in a treatment called PRP (platelet-rich plasma), which involves drawing blood, spinning it down, and injecting it into the joint to create inflammation and accelerate healing with the blood cells. Although it worked wonders on several parts of my body, it was ineffective on the sacrum when there was an emotional or energetic issue involved.
The tricky part is that we may not always consciously feel emotional, or we may believe we've moved past an event, thinking, “Oh, I'm over it. I’ve made peace. That was a long time ago. I’ve forgiven…” Yet, fortunately, we have ways to check for buried or forgotten emotions because they can be quite common. Sometimes the issue is strictly physical, requiring interventions like spinal adjustments, exercises, surgeries, or PRP, and sometimes these solutions might not provide long-lasting relief.
In my journey, I've also had to focus on strengthening and consistently stretching because body maintenance is crucial. There’s no shortcut that allows us to sit around all day, eating Bonbons and watching Netflix, and still feel great—I’ve not found that path yet.
Reluctantly, I share this: At two different times in my life, when I was in a lot of pain and nothing was working, in desperation, I explored other options. About 20 years ago, I consulted a medical intuitive healer to ask, “What is wrong with my hip?” After her process, which included a bizarre experience involving “legions of soldiers” leaving my hip, I found immediate pain relief. Last month, a similar episode happened, despite trying everything from chiropractic to cupping. I consulted a woman who uses sound as a tool of healing, and after releasing about a billion souls from my hip via her methods, the pain released.
While it's not commonly taught or discussed, and despite my three different certifications in spiritual modalities, I often wasn’t aware of the non-physical elements that could be involved in pain, like energies, entities, or parasites. But when you experience rapid healing after extensive treatment, you have to consider the cost of continuing to do what you've always done, especially if you've only sought physical treatments.
Today, I encourage you to keep an open mind and explore emotional realms. A single belief, such as “Life is hard and I'll always suffer,” can perpetuate pain, and we need to break and release such beliefs. When I discovered the MAP certification, I was grateful because MAP amalgamates many tools I've used over the years without being limiting, allowing me to integrate other things into it.
If you'll be joining me live in those classes, we have a very potent, powerful tool that allows us to check for root causes, discover them, and move into healing. Is there anything else I haven’t shared? I merely want to inspire you not to give up, to believe that there is hope. I am feeling great and I'm eagerly awaiting the day when I meet you and hear you say the same. Until then, blessings to your health. Thank you for being with me today.
